Time is what matters,
a volume we can fill up
with experience and feelings.
Nothing else matters,
everything else is sustainable,
except space indeed.

Study
At first I went through designer school at Škoda and right away started to study Traditional painting techniques at Academy of Fine Arts Prague. After two years I changed my interest in the digital world and moved to New media studio where I stayed till the end of my study. In 2006 I studied also at San Francisco Art Institute heading to grasp as much as I could in the field of digital media and media study. I met people there such as John Phillips and M.C. Schmidt as well as Fausto from Shirley & Spinoza who have a strong impact on my future work. Speaking of people who had an impact on me during my studies, the list won’t be complete without Silver (Petr Svarovsky) who indeed influence me back in Prague Academy the whole time.
Early experiences
Early art works focused mainly on interactive applications and interfaces between humans and “devices”. My work focuses as well on public media itself and I naturally worked and still work with Open Source ideas. In 2004 my attitude drove me to be a technical assistant at the New media studio at Academy of Fine Arts Prague where I used to be a tutor in the digital media field. I also taught my favorite Open Source program Blender at the Charles University, Faculty of Education. At the same time worked with company Alien technik (Deymed) as an Biofeedback game developer and cooperates with Millenium Gate Company on several interactive projects.
In the fall of 2007 I quit my job at the Academy of Fine Arts Prague and left the “media studio” with the majority of students because we couldn’t stand him.
Further experiences In 2006 until 2018 I have been giving from time to time lectures in Digital laboratory at Academy of Fine Arts Prague in the field of Internet publishing platforms and game development and sound. I keep working on my radio MONKEY ON THE ORB – used to be internet radio. I have spent plus-minus 6 years developing Artycok.tv an art TV platform until 2013 when I left as the new crew had no interest in developing the platform ahead. With my great friend Erik Sikora we have established an alternative sound group ne I in its terms we try to improvise in the utmost possible way. Later with Nikola Brabcova we united in the Nikola 2046 band. I also work for the Auto*Mat, which seams to be an ideal step auto off the arty academic space to the real life. Not long ago I worked as a sound technician for The Forman Brother’s Theatre on “their” piece Un beau matin, Aladin and toured thru France quite a bit. About 2013 established with Jan Vidlička studio Jan and in 2014 built the Avocado wooden bike. I spend ±3 years to teach so called “Interactive media design & prototyping” as well as “Professional Sound Production” at Prague College. Beside that I do build tons of websites (2046.cz) mainly for non-profits such as Auto*mat, jlbjlt.net and others.
Recently
There are basically two fields I gravitate around these days while both of them have one in common “unique development”.
The interest in sound remains and the technology and skills evolved. The actual interests definitely are a development of unique mechanisms be it a new sound instrument or tweaks of any kind of technology I’m interested in at the moment. My most recent work can be found on acoustictendencies.com
The second with no less importance is my expanding work with ceramics. It all started absurdly while working bee wax which I found super interesting but limiting as well. Asia culture has had an influence on my whole life and the Wabi Sabi approach has lots in common with my early studies at the Academy of Fine Art when I studied under prof. Zdenek Beran. Moreover my designer skills I gathered in yet earlier studies are still in my tool box and shape the ceramics in unusual ways too. Imagine CNC blended with contemporary Bizen ceramics, what can come out of that?
